Hey Look! Its… Another Design!
It was the last day of February that this website moved from Freewebs to our own hosting, and I gave it a whole new Wordpress design. As you know if you are reading this, I’ve changed the design again. I feel that I’ve finally achieved what I want in my site.
The first iteration of this site that I was actually proud of was similar to the one you see now, except the background was translucent white atop green grass. While I liked the look, it lacked a certain professionalism and practicality. When I moved the site to the new domain, I decided to completely revamp it. What emerged was on the other end of the spectrum. Very practical, and while it was nice, it wasn’t attractive to me.
This third iteration of the site stems from how much I like the first version, while instead using black, which I feel lends a more mature and professional air. The new site is structured so that you can get to what you want without dealing with anything else. No need to see the blog if you really just want the portfolio, no need to look at Photos when you wanted Logos. The homepage greets you with four choices, and you choose one. Simple and elegant. Just the way I like it.
Please be brutally honest and tell me what you think! Sound off in the comments below!

Nice design. I love how the transparency looks, and how fluid the site is.
The home page is also particularly nice. Well done on those icons.

Very Nice Design, Adam. The transparency and icons are awesome, and I love how the blog matches your home page.
Great Work.

Adam,
The site looks amazing! I bet it took a while
Did you code and design it?

It didn’t take very long, as a matter of fact. I’d say about 24 hours in total… but of course not all at once. I started a couple weeks ago.
I modified an existing WP template for the blog part, and hand coded the rest of the site. I’m really psyched about how they look exactly the same.

Great job on your site Adam! Good call on the blue rather than the green. I’m planning on re-launching mine again soon as well…still, it will be hard to live up to this!

One good idea would be to link the top logo to the home page.

Thanks, Michael. I will be including a home link as soon as I conquer my laziness.

Laziness conquered. The top now links to the homepage.

The only problem now is that a lot of your links have borders around them in Windows (I know, I know, stupid Windows

Dang! I forgot all about that. Is it just the headers?
May 18th, 2008 at 12:18 pm
I think so, yeah. I know that’s an easy thing to forget

It’s also on the logos and icon sets pages

Ok, should be all fixed now.

How about a link to your blog’s RSS feed?
