Some of you may have notices that Mac OS X 10.5.3 introduced a new “Sites” folder icon. Unfortunately, for those who use Colorful Leopard, this creates the inconvienience of having to re-install the Colorful Leopard “Sites” folder. Here’s how:
- In the Finder, navigate to Your Computer > System > Library > Core Services > CoreTypes.bundle
- Right click on the bundle and choose “Show Package Contents.”
- In the resulting window navigate to Contents > Resources.
- Now drag the Sites folder from the Colorful Leopard disk image to this folder.
- Click “Authenticate,” “Replace,” and enter an admin’s username and password.
- Log out and back in, and you should be done!

Recently released into private beta was the phenomenal piece of software, Dropbox, which allows speedy and seamless folder syncing over the internet. I find it an invaluable addition to my Mac, but unfortunately, it’s icons stick out a bit. But wait… I make icons. Problem solved.
This pack of icons does three things, all independently available for you to pick and choose.
1) Changes the icon of Dropbox to a more Mac-like look
2) Changes the menu bar icon to a black and white one that fits in better. While it transfers, it turns blue to alert you.
3) For those of you that installed Colorful Leopard, I have made a dropbox folder icon that fits in with the Colorful Leopard theme. It also has a small version that appears in the Leopard Sidebar that fits with the rest of the sidebar icons.
This icon set is all about fitting in. Check it out in the Portfolio!
